Banco do Brasil has rolled out a hybrid branch concept in Brazil called .BB and powered by Claro’s private 5G standalone network implemented by Embratel. .BB blends traditional banking services with new digital technologies like holograms, robots and virtual booths. The first branch, located at Marco Zero in Recife, serves as a testing ground for 5G’s potential to elevate customer experience.

Transformative 5G applications include an AI-powered concierge robot, instant bank card printing, real-time service evaluation, and an immersive gaming experience.

5G, coupled with Embratel’s AI solution, is being tested for environmental security. The system analyzes camera footage to identify suspicious movements and potential security risks. Future plans include integrating 5G with security drones for real-time perimeter monitoring and threat detection.
