Bell Canada has expanded its ‘5G+’ 3500MHz-driven mobile network services to the province of Manitoba, and now claims a 40% national 5G+ population footprint, enabling peak theoretical download speeds of 3Gbps in select markets. The first locations in Manitoba to receive 5G+ services are Winnipeg, East St. Paul, Headingley and St. Andrews, while Bell highlights that outside of the 5G+ coverage area its existing 5G network already reaches over 70% of Manitobans.

Bell began deploying 3500MHz spectrum in summer 2022, subsequently introducing 5G+ services to areas across Ontario, Atlantic Canada and Western Canada, and it has now reached the 40% population target for the service which it originally earmarked for end-2022.
