Italian ISP Fastweb has expanded its 5G fixed wireless access network to more than 1,000 municipalities across the country. Services are available at download rates of up to 1Gbps using 26GHz spectrum and up to 100Mbps using 3.5GHz band equipment, with the peak speed dependent on the location. The firm’s Casa Light FWA product costs EUR19.95 (USD19.85) a month plus an extra EUR2 per month for 20 months to cover the activation fee.
