Orange Romania announced on Thursday that its 5G network providing download speeds of up to 1.5Gbps can now be accessed by pre-paid customers with a compatible handset and 5G-enabled tariff plan. The operator confirmed in a press release that its EUR6 (USD6.5) pre-paid tariff enables maximum 5G download speeds of 500Mbps, while the EUR8, EUR12 and EUR16 options provide access to ‘5G+’ speeds of up to 1.5Gbps. Orange’s 5G/5G+ services are now available in 37 cities throughout the country. In addition, the company has also enabled eSIM functionality for its pre-paid customers, allowing users with a compatible mobile device to connect to the Orange network without a physical SIM card.
