Companies and organisations in the Netherlands can now ‘reserve a portion’ of VodafoneZiggo’s public mobile network for their own use, via the operator’s new Network Slicing service. Claiming a Dutch first, the Vodafone Business division says that the new service ensures that its customers will always have sufficient capacity for business-critical applications.
Network Slicing is based on technology that divides the availability of the public mobile network into capacity ‘slices’ which can be reserved to guarantee a stable, fast mobile broadband connection no matter how busy the network is.
