Board-Level Regulatory Leadership Programme for CXO Regulators, Operators and Ministers

As a board director, I’m pleased to have participated in the Cenerva TRMC training. The insights gained on regulatory evolution, customer protection and telecom management were both valuable and practical, enhancing my understanding of current trade and future challenges in the industry.

The training was well structured and information. The duration of each session is appropriate allowing for a deep dive into the lessons without feeling rushed. The balance made the learning experience both engaging and effective.

As a new board member for the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), with a background in media and communication, the training elevated my understanding and knowledge of telecommunication regulation. It came at the right time. The mix of facilitators with different backgrounds made the training enjoyable. The masterclass was a telecom regulation made simple, an eye-opener! I think what I have taken from this course will help me throughout all my career life since it shows the economic side, the spectrum, the technical side, the management side, both hard and soft powers that regulators should have and I think I never joined such a good course before.

I just completed the Telecommunication Regulatory course with Cenerva. It helped me form an understanding of telecommunications, regulatory functions and ultimately the latest technology in where the future of regulation is heading.

And this will really help me in my day to day work.

I really liked how comprehensive the training was and how it captured all of the major and most important regulatory aspects of telecommunications regulation. I particularly liked the parts on market competition and competition policies regarding significant market power and how we would treat new market entrants into the course.

“I do think it’s very important and it gives a great oversight of telecommunications regulation and it would be very very helpful in moving forward when we look at legal issues and the impact of imaging technologies and on our sector moving forward.

This is the second TRMC course that I’ve undertaken and what I like best about it is the course content, the course discussions and also the whole set up.

We’re able to participate, have open discussions one-on-one with the facilitators and fellow participants and it gives us the opportunity to discuss issues that we might have in our various regions and countries. 

What I like most about the course is not just the structure, but the facilitators and the relevant content.

Having done it twice, I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone because we get up-to-date data that we’re able to share and I always leave more informed than when I arrive.

The program overall was quite in depth, with the topics being relevant for today’s telecoms landscape. Great session. I would be definitely applying for the Executive Master Class in the future.

I chose to attend this course because I wanted to learn more about the digital economy, satellites as well as learning other areas outside of my economics department background. The best thing about this program is learning of the best practices across all the attendees from various countries in the emerging market sector.

Also the further discussions and breakout sessions in between the sessions as well as the breakout session exercise where we use the principles and tools that we learn throughout the course to apply in a real case study.

My key takeaway was an understanding the full overview of regulatory practices that are implemented in the telecom industry. This was an experience, and I learnt a lot about how regulators and operators operate.
