The Office of Electronic Communications (Urzad Komunikacji Elektronicznej, UKE) in Poland has completed its auction of 5G-capable 3.5GHz licences after two days and 16 rounds of bidding. Four licences were on offer, each providing 100MHz of spectrum between 3.4GHz and 3.8GHz.

Block A went for the reserve price of PLN450 million (USD107 million), Blocks B and C attracted bids of PLN487 million, and Block D raised PLN497 million. While UKE has still to confirm which of the country’s four mobile network operators (MNOs) won each block, a report from Telko.in gives the winners as follows: Block A – Plus (Polkomtel); Block B – Play (P4); Block C – Orange; and Block D – T-Mobile.
