China Mobile added more than 2.27 million customers in June 2023, better than the 325,000 brought in the month before. The company ended the month with a total of 985.38 million mobile customers. China Telecom added 790,000 mobile subscribers in June, ending the month with 401.91 million.
China Unicom closed June with 927.92 million ‘Big connectivity’ customers, up from 917.87 million the month before. The company’s 5G subscriber base advanced to 232.44 million from 229.63 million in May, and IoT terminal connections increased to 443.22 million in June from 432.59 million in May.
China Mobile added around 15 million 5G subscribers in June, for a total of 721.80 million at the end of the month. China Telecom added a smaller 4.24 million in the month, for a total of 294.86 million.
On the wireline broadband market, China Mobile brought in 1.96 million customers in the month, for a total of 286.40 million. China Telecom added 610,000 wireline broadband customers, for a total of 186.26 million at end-June.
