Grupo MASMOVIL regional ISP for the Galacia region, R, has launched a fixed wireless access (FWA) home broadband service offering speeds of up to 150Mbps in areas not served by its fibre infrastructure. Branded ‘Mambo Axina’, the new service includes 150Mbps internet with Wi-Fi 6 and the 5G router, plus a mobile line with unlimited calls and 30GB of data, for EUR39 (USD37.5) per month for the first year, and EUR49 thereafter.
The new platform reportedly covers more than 140,000 Galician homes distributed throughout almost 50 municipalities in the region. Currently, R’s services are taken by more than 575,000 residential and business customers in Galicia.
