Full-service provider Sunrise, in partnership with Nokia, has introduced a Mobile Private Network (MPN) solution for business consumers. The MPN solution provides companies with ‘private, wholly self-sufficient networks on their own business premises’, Sunrise notes, adding that the systems ensure that critical operational data never leaves the company’s own infrastructure, ensuring the ‘highest possible level of security’. The solution utilises mobile communications systems installed on the company premises providing high speed and low latency data transmission and enabling IoT capacity for up to one million connected devices per square kilometre.

Sunrise adds that it has already begun implementing MPNs for several companies, with a proof of concept project currently underway with agrichemical firm Syngenta.
