Montenegrin operator Crnogorski Telekom (CT) and Croatian telecom equipment manufacturer Ericsson Nikola Tesla have signed a five-year agreement worth EUR12.5 million (USD12.3 million). The extension to their long-standing cooperation will see Ericsson Nikola Telsa provide mobile network maintenance, improvement and modernisation services to CT.

CT partnered with Ericsson Nikola Tesla to launch commercial 5G mobile services in the capital Podgorica in March of this year and now has active 5G networks in 18 towns and cities, covering almost 70% of the country’s population. The new agreement foresees the introduction of 5G technology across the country and the modernisation of CT’s entire radio network to increase capacity and reduce latency.
