DISH Network has announced that 5G Voice over New Radio (VoNR) connectivity is now available in a number of additional markets, including Cincinnati, OH; Fayetteville, NC; Jacksonville, FL; Minneapolis, MN; Philadelphia, PA; Portland, OR; Shreveport, LA; Tucson, AZ; and Washington, DC. The service is available via the Boost Mobile and Boost Infinite brands.

A streamlining of DISH’s mobile portfolio appears to be on the cards, with the DISHWireless portal now directing customers towards Boost MobileBoost Infinite and Gen Mobile for connectivity. Ting Mobile, while still a sub-brand, is not included, after DISH opted not to acquire the Ting brand from Canadian internet firm Tucows. DISH’s rights to the brand are set to expire at the end of this month. An additional brand, Project Genesis – which was initially expected to be used for DISH’s 5G network – retains an active website, but is not a customer-facing brand.
