Infinix, owned by Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Transsion, unveiled the Infinix Zero 30 5G smartphone and flagship Zero Book laptop during the ‘Story On’ event in Venice, Italy, created to celebrate the 80th Venice International Film Festival.
Infinix helped organise the panel session “New Image, New Lifestyle. Cinema in the New Media, Capture Your Own Story” at the Italian Pavilion in Venice, and invited leading vloggers from around the world to explore the technical advances in smartphone camera technology, and the “democratization of filmmaking.” The company then showcased Infinix fan documentaries capturing life with Infinix brand smartphones, and launched the Mobile Vlog Awards of Infinix (MVA) – ‘Capture Your Own Story’, inviting vloggers from around the world to contribute to “the evolution of mobile imaging” and “capture life by crafting short film videos that reflect their individuality.”
Smartphone made with vloggers in mind
During the phone’s launch event, the public was first shown a masquerade dance opening ceremony. They were then shown the phone, with its curved 144Hz Amoled display using Corina Gorilla Glass, MediaTek Dimensity 8020 octa-core processor and 21GB of extended memory. It also features a 5,000 mAh battery, 68W Super Charging, the XOS 13 customised version of Android 13, and 234ms fingerprint unlocking.
The company said the mid-tier Infinix Zero 30 5G provides a best-in-class Ultra HD (4K/60FPS) front camera video recording, designed for the creation of professional-grade vlog videos. The phone also features a dual Micro-slit flash, Phase Detction AutoFocus, Engage Movie Filter mode, and a 108MP rear camera with triple zoom. The device also sports a new technology known as the “Explorer Satellite Communication Technology,” based on a Long-Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) satellite system.
The smartphone phone will come in Golden Hour, Rome Green and Fantasy Purple, priced at around USD 339, with regional variations for price and availability.
Meanwhile, the Zero Book has the 12 Gen intel Core processor, an AI BeautyCam enhancement, a unique Overboost switch for best toggle performance, Android on Windows, a 70Wh battery life, Wi-Fi 6E and extended 6GHz support. The device is 16.9 mm thick and weighs 1.8 kg, with a 15.6 inch display.
