Tunisian prime minister Ahmed Hachani has approved the roadmap that will lead to the introduction of 5G commercial services in the country at the start of 2025, reports Kapitalis. This process will see the creation of a new commission in charge of preparations to grant the 5G licences. The roadmap sets the launch of the first commercial services a few months later than the initial timetable presented in March by ICT minister Nizar Ben Neji.

According to information gathered by Tunisie Haut Debit, the award procedure is expected to kick off by early July, while the cost of a 15-year licence should be below TND 100 million, less than the price set for a 4G licence in the 2016 award.
