Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has installed a pilot B2B 5G network in five stations of the new Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro. Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Transport, confirmed: ‘From the day of the launch of the BCL, we are starting to test the 5G mobile network … which will allow us to increase the efficiency and safety of the metro for passengers. These technologies can be used to launch the movement of unmanned trains, diagnose infrastructure or rolling stock, train personnel based on virtual and augmented reality.’
