Razer has unveiled its new handheld gaming device, the Razer Edge, designed with Verizon to work on 5G networks. Powered by the latest Snapdragon G3xFort Gen 1 gaming processor, the new device will be available from January 2023.
Previewed last month at MWC Las Vegas, the new gaming device was fully unveiled at the Razer Con product showcase. The Razer Edge is designed to run native Android games and also will come with pre-installed launchers like Epic Games, support for cloud streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now, and remote play options with PC libraries like Steam Link, Moonlight, Parsec and Xbox.
The wireless device features a 6.8-inch Amoled screen with up to 144hz refresh rate at 2400×1080 FHD+ resolution, along with a 5,000 mAh battery and 8GB lPDDR5 RAM. In addition to the touch screen and tactile controls, Razer is bundling the new Razer Kishi V2 Pro controller with the Edge. This clip-on controller adds the Razer HyperSense advanced-haptic feedback and a 3.5mm audio port.
The Razer Edge is available to reserve and will launch exclusively through Verizon. In-person demos are planned for CES in January, and pricing details will be announced closer to launch.
