Airtel Uganda has launched its first 5G home device for fixed wireless broadband access. The device retails at UGX250,000 (USD65.12) and will enable home users and small business to connect to the internet via the company’s 5G network, which was launched earlier this year.

Airtel Uganda’s Home Broadband Director, Denis Kahindi, is cited by PMLDaily as saying: ‘In August, we broke the news as the first network to pioneer the revolutionary 5G setup. Now, building on that groundbreaking achievement, we proudly stand as the first network to introduce 5G Home Broadband in Uganda, setting new standards in the realm of connectivity.’
