China’s newest mobile provider China Radio and Television (which uses China Broadnet as its English-language brand name) has signed up 8.7 million subscriptions since its launch last year, local news outlet CCTime writes, citing senior Broadnet director Shi Ran. The official added that the company has built a national 5G network with full coverage in 31 provinces, having deployed 680,000 700MHz base stations and jointly built/shared 3.8 million 4G/5G base stations.
