China Unicom posted operating revenue of CNY 263.97 billion for the first three quarters of 2022, which represents an increase of 8 percent year-on-year. Service revenue reached CNY 239.65 billion, up by 7.8 percent year-on-year. Profit amounted to CNY 15.66 billion, up by 21.2 percent year-on-year. EBITDA rose 1.9 percent year-on-year to CNY 76.73 billion.
China Unicom also reports it ended September with 842 million āBig Connectivityā subscribers. Of these, the number of 5G package subscribers reached 201 million, driving the Groupās mobile service revenue to rise by 3.3 percent year-on-year to CNY 127,356 million. Fixed-line broadband access revenue grew by 3.9 percent year-on-year to CNY 34,642 million.
The number of IoT terminal connections in the China Unicom network reached 366 million at end-September, while IoT revenue reached CNY 6.16 billion, up by 35.6 percent year-on-year.
Unicom Cloudās revenue reached CNY 26.87 billion, up by 142 percent year-on-year. IDC revenue rose 12.9 percent to CNY 18.61 billion. Big Data revenue reached CNY 2.7 billion, which represents an increase of 56.3 percent year-on-year.
