Montenegrin mobile network operator Crnogorski Telekom (CT) has announced its 5G network has been expanded to 18 cities and now covers 68.92% of the country’s population. The company was the country’s first operator to launch commercial 5G services in March this year when it activated cell sites at four locations in Podgorica using dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS), and coverage was subsequently extended to all urban areas of the capital during July as part of its ongoing deployment programme. Commenting on the rollout, Crnogorski Telekom CEO Stjepan Udovicic said: ‘Today, we have an active 5G network in 18 Montenegrin cities, and in Podgorica we have 5G stations in 25 locations, covering almost the entire city. The ultimate goal is to make the 5G network available in all Montenegrin cities.’
