A1 Slovenia says it recorded a 45% increase in data traffic during 2022, with the rise attributed to the continued use of hybrid working patterns following the COVID-19 pandemic. Users between the ages of 30 and 50 contributed the most to the jump in data traffic, with usage in this age group up 52%, followed by the under-30 age range with a 22% rise.
Meanwhile, A1 has confirmed that its 5G mobile network now reaches 66% of the country’s population, with plans to boost this to 98% by 2025. In 2022 19% of data was transferred via the 5G network, and the company estimates that this share will reach more than 50% by the end of 2023.
