Russian company Elektra sees an opportunity to start production of LTE and 5G base stations, reports Comnews.ru citing Natalya Shcheglova, the CEO of the company. Rostelecom owns a 51 percent stake in Elektra, which already produces routers. Russian companies Bulat (a subsidiary of Rostelecom), Irteya (a subsidiary of MTS) and KNS Group (a subsidiary of Yadro) are already working on the development and local production of mobile base stations.
