Auction 108 – the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC’s) sale of unused spectrum in the 2496MHz-2690MHz (2.5GHz band) – drew to a close on Monday 29 August, after 73 rounds of bidding. In total, the process generated gross proceeds of USD427.790 million. While the full auction results have yet to be published, a total of 82 companies successfully bid on 7,872 flexible‐use geographic overlay licences. 145 of the 8,017 available licences went unsold.
