The Croatian Regulatory Agency for Network Operations (Hrvatska regulatorna agencija za mrezne djelatnosti, HAKOM) has received five applications to participate in its forthcoming multi-band spectrum auction which is due to begin on 16 January.

There will also be up to 80MHz available in the 3.5GHz band for regional (county level) operations, though this will be allocated via a separate auction process.

Incumbent cellcos Hrvatski Telekom (HT), A1 and Telemach applied to take part in the 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz and 2600MHz auctions, while the regional 3.5GHz licence sale will be contested by Digicom and Markoja.
