Globe Telecom has released details of its latest 5G network expansion, adding no fewer than 716 new sites across the country and also beefing up its roaming services reach globally. As a result of the latest expansion, 5G outdoor coverage now stands at 97.7% of the National Capital Region (NCR) and 92.0% in key cities of Visayas and Mindanao (VisMin), such as Cebu and Davao.

The telcoā€™s ongoing network rollout is underscored by the fact that as at end-September 2023, it recorded 5.2 million 5G devices connected to its network which TeleGeographyā€™s GlobalComms Database notes is a marked increase on the figure of 3.9 million reported at the end of 2022 and 1.6 million at end-2021.
