Spain’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, acting via the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures, has launched a public consultation regarding its planned auction of 5G-suitable spectrum in the 26GHz band. The government proposes to offer twelve 1Ɨ200MHz nationwide licences alongside 38 regional concessions. All licences will be valid for 20 years (and extendable for a further 20 years). The consultation will remain open until 27 October.
