The Russian government plans to reduce state funding for the development of domestic LTE and 5G equipment by a third, reports Vedomosti citing a draft road map on mobile networks expansion until 2030. Initially, almost RUB 24 billion had been planned to be allocated from the budget for this purpose in 2024-2025. In a new version of the draft document, the sum has been reduced to RUB 15.5 billion.

A final version of the road map is expected to be approved by the government in mid-September.
