Costa Rica’s state-backed telco Grupo ICE (Kolbi) has been offered a USD300 million line of credit by EXIM Bank, the official export credit agency of the US federal government. The offer was made to Marco Acuna, president of Grupo ICE, who was in Washington, DC late last month. The credit line will be used to bankroll the telco’s planned 5G network.
