Full-service provider Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) has inked deals with vendor partners Ericsson and Nokia for the rollout of its Standalone (SA) 5G network. Nokia was selected to supply 5GĀ RANĀ equipment from its AirScale portfolio for Jio’s nationwide network deployment. The deal covers the provision of base stations, 5G MassiveĀ MIMOĀ antennas and Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) which the Finnish vendor claims will support different spectrum bands, and self-organising network software. Ericsson, meanwhile, will also provideĀ RANĀ products and solutions as well as E-band microwave transport solutions.
