Movistar (Telefonica) said it has become the first Chilean operator to offer a full range of 5G plans without speed restrictions at no additional cost to subscribers. Around 3 months after switching on its fifth-generation network, Movistar said customers with compatible handsets can now sign up to a total of four “Plan 5G Libre” rates, all of which come with data roaming in 25 countries as well as free access to its Movistar TV Light service, with 8 live channels and an on-demand catalogue movies and series.

The plans called 5G Libre Inicia, 5G Libre Full, 5G Libre Pro and 5G Libre Ultra range in price from CLP 9,990 to CLP 19,990 a month. They come with 80GB to 400GB in 5G data and all except for Libre Inicia include unlimited calls.  By way of a launch promo, anyone signing up to Libre Full, Libre Pro and Libre Ultra will be offered a 20 percent reduction on the monthly rate for a year or a free extra line if they contract two identical plans.
