Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has revealed that the planned allocation of mobile spectrum in the 2300MHz-2400MHz band was unsuccessful. VietNamNet reports that no operators paid a deposit to register to participate in the auction process. The ministry was looking to allocate three licences for mobile spectrum in the 2300MHz-2400MHz band for the development of 4G and 5G services. Valid for 15 years, the spectrum licence blocks were divided up as follows: 2300MHz-2330MHz; 2330MHz-2360MHz; and 2360MHz-2390MHz.
