The auction of the 3.5 GHz band in the Netherlands has officially started. Participants can bid for a total of 300 MHz in the 3450-3750 MHz band. Bidders can go for up to 40 percent of the available 300 MHz, equivalent to 120 MHz per party. The licenses will be granted until the end of 2040.
Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Micky Adriaansens will announce which participants obtained national frequencies at the end of the auction. The auction was designed to allow at least three participants.
The new spectrum is aimed for 5G services.
