The operator O2 Czech Republic has introduced the new O2 5G Box for mobile broadband customers. Supporting 5G and LTE networks, as well as the Wi-Fi 6 standard, the modem is available for CZK 99 monthly payment under a five-year contract.
Wireless broadband at up to 50 Mbps is available using the device, which can connect up to 30 devices simultaneously. The associated tariff plan with the top speed costs CZK 399 per month.
Around 500,000 households unable to receive fast fixed broadband can acquire the 5G device. By the end of this year, the operator plans to raise this to 900,000 households after expanding its 5G network.
