Uzbekistan company Rubicon Wireless Communication, trading under the Perfectum Mobile brand, signed a cooperation agreement with Nokia on launching a 5G network in Uzbekistan. Nokia will supply, install and mount the 5G Standalone (SA) equipment costing EUR 100 million across the country within two years. The Core 5G SA equipment, as well as RAN radio sub-systems will be deployed. The BSS (Business Support System) platform from Finnish company Qvantel will be deployed as well.

The operator plans to launch commercial 5G services in the city and region of Tashkent by October this year.
