Polish operator Play, which is owned by Iliad of France, has announced its network rollout achievements for 2022. The firm says it added 800 new base stations to its mobile network, taking the total to more than 10,500. It adds that 1.7 million customers now have 5G-enabled devices. Meanwhile, over 110,000 fibre broadband lines were installed. It claims that the former UPC Poland network, which it acquired in April 2022, now reaches 3.7 million households, with the aim of passing six million Polish homes with a fibre service.
