Samsung Electronics America and t3 Broadband have been selected to deliver 5G-ready 3.5GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) network solutions to Mercury Broadband, which serves a number of rural markets in the US Midwest. As per the agreement, t3 Broadband will provide Mercury Broadband with Samsung’s 64T64R Massive MIMO radios and CDU50 baseband units. The equipment will be implemented at more than 500 fixed wireless access (FWA) sites across Mercury Broadband’s network in ‘hard-to-reach, remote areas’ of Kansas, Missouri and Indiana, before being expanded to additional states between now and 2025.
