South Korea’s Samsung Electronics has revealed it has secured a deal with Japan’s largest mobile operator by subscriptions, NTT DOCOMO, to supply it with additional 5G network radio units that can support the major frequency bands it operates. Having been selected as a 5G network solution provider back in March, the Korean vendor will now further expand its presence in the 5G infrastructure market by supplying products such as ultralight and sub-miniature radio units that transmit the 2.8GHz band.
