Sky Italy to add 5G mobile services via partnership with Fastweb

Pay-TV and fixed broadband provider Sky Italia is to add mobile services to its portfolio thanks to a deal with 5G network operator Fastweb. A joint statement from the two firms says they have signed a multi-year partnership to launch Sky Mobile in Italy in early 2024. Sky already uses Fastweb infrastructure to deliver its Sky Wi-Fi fixed broadband service, which had gained more than 570,000 subscriptions as of mid-2023.
