Telia Sweden has expanded its 5G network to reach 73% of the country’s population. The firm is aiming to cover 90% of the territory and 99% of the population by 2025. It launched 5G in Stockholm in 2020 and has now implemented the technology on 10,000 antennas using the 700MHz and 3.5GHz bands. Telia is carrying out the upgrade and expansion of its 4G and 5G networks with equipment partner Ericsson.
