Vodafone Oman announced the launch of its service operations in the country. CEO Bader Zidi said the main objective is to advance digital progress, initially by bringing next-generation 5G network and cloud services and subsequently expanding into ecosystems beyond telecommunication.

The new operator, a partner of Vodafone Group and owned by local shareholders, was licensed a year ago to become the third mobile network operator in Oman. According to Diego Massidda, CEO of Vodafone Partner Markets and Vodafone Carrier Services, customers at Vodafone Oman will benefit from global services such as roaming, international calling and digital applications thanks to the partnership.

Vodafoneā€™s launch offer is 77GB of data, 777 local voice minutes and 777 local SMS for a period of 77 days. Customers can use the bundle in Oman and on Vodafone networks worldwide at no extra cost. The full period of 77 days is available for a one-time payment of OMR 9. The offer is valid until 31 January.

Customers can sign up for Vodafone service by downloading the My Vodafone app on Google Play and the App Store and in more than 3,500 outlets across Oman.
