The team at Cenerva is devastated by the very sad news of the passing of our respected colleague, incredible friend, inspirational mentor and Board Member, Iain Williams.
After immense courage and strength, sadly, Iain finally lost his battle and passed away on 4th January 2024. Iain died peacefully and was surrounded by his close family.
Iain has been an inspiration to all of us, both professionally and personally.
He leaves an incredible legacy as a pioneering leader in the developing mobile global market through his insight across South-east Asia, South America and Africa. More latterly, he brought his immense executive and commercial experience and expertise to a broader audience in Europe and beyond, leaving many fond memories of “big rocks” and his dry humour.
Iain has played a pivotal role in driving the growth of Cenerva’s world-renowned TRMC regulatory/policy training business. Countless TRMC students from around the world have fond memories of Iain’s kindness, engaging personality and passion for teaching and knowledge sharing, whether in person in Bath or virtually online. Through the TRMC programme, Iain leaves all of us at Cenerva an incredible legacy, and we are proud to continue to build on the strong foundations that Iain created and left us.
Outside of work, Iain’s energy and passion were evident in many areas. Whether as a devoted supporter of Fulham Football Club or Welsh Rugby Union. Through Iain’s deep Christian faith and a passionate heart for the disadvantaged and vulnerable, as Vice Chair of Hope Worldwide, Iain enthused and inspired the charity to expand its incredible work with the homeless and those whose lives are impacted by substance addiction around the world.
Our thoughts are with Iain’s devoted family at this difficult time: his wife, Maria, brother Alun and the broader family based around the world.
